Clearing a Building Lot with the local Fire Department

You may have heard of our recent, “hot” project a couple weekends ago where we burned down a Brentwood home in cooperation with the Brentwood Fire & Rescue Department. Burning the home down was the best option because it would have been cost-prohibitive to bring the home up to current codes and regulations for construction as well as structurally modify the existing home to meet the living needs of our client. Burning the home down was the most practical and efficient means to begin this project.

The Brentwood Fire & Rescue Department joined to help us with this project, where they conducted live fire-training exercises. Brentwood Fire & Rescue Commander Capt. Scott Ellis said the home burning is a unique training opportunity.

“We get so few opportunities for training on a real home in a controlled environment and we are grateful to have this chance especially for our young firefighters,” Ellis said.

We have begun clearing the debris and we will be building a beautiful custom home on this lot. Please make sure to sign up for our emails so you can keep up with the progress.
